Update on COVID-19 Donation: Spring is in Sight, Let’s Fight the Pandemic Together

During the Spring Festival of 2020, the covid-19 outbreak pulled on the heartstrings of Chinese people. From the central government to the local government, from the frontline medical workers to the general public, everyone shares a common goal -- to defeat the pandemic, overcome the crisi and get through the troubled time together. During this special pandemic period, the party committee of SUMEC International Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "SUMEC") has exhibited a strong sense of responsibility and great compassion by initiating a donation themed “Show Your Love to Our Compatriots” among all employees. The donation initiative aims at encouraging people to show your support and help to Wuhan with actions.

On February 5^th, 11am , the party committee of SUMEC issued a proposal on charity donation to the areas impacted by the pandemic in Hubei Province. All departments and subsidiaries of the company actively responded to the donation initiative. Regardless of the amount of money, the number is not the measurement for love. The donation money is the symbol of sincere love and friendship from SUMEC staff to the people in the pandemic area of Hubei. As the number continuously rose, the money, together with SUMEC staff’s love, slowly reached out to those in need, and showed the warm power of sharing weal and woe.

By 6 p.m. of February 5, SUMEC raised a total amount of RMB 227800.99 for the pandemic-impacted areas in Hubei Province within just 7 hours; 729 employees had donated, with an average donation of 312.5 yuan per person. The great love and warmth brightened the spring, as well as people’s hope.

The party committee of SUMEC would strictly supervise the management the receipts and disbursements of the donation money, so as to ensure that the donation would be specially used for the prevention and control of Covid-19 in Hubei. SUMEC would purchase medical gloves, protective clothing and other medical supplies in short supply to support medical workers, police officers and soldiers in the epidemic areas. If the attempt to buy the above supplies failed, SUMEC would make cash donations to officially designated hospitals in Wuhan and make sure that every single donation goes to the right place.

During this white war against the pandemic, we would stand hand in hand with Wuhan and fight Covid-19 together! There is no insurmountable winter, and there is no spring that will not come. We believe that when the ice and snow melt, diseases and disasters will fade into the dust of time, and under the and under the cold ground ravaged by diseases, the spring is about to break out of the ground.
