Yong Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Nanjing Forestry University, visited Sumec

On December 9th, Yong Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Nanjing Forestry University, and his entourage visited SUMEC Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SUMEC), accompanied by Xu Xinwu, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Nanjing Forestry University. Zhao Weilin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of SUMEC, and Xin Zhonghua, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, received Yong Qiang and his entourage, and the two sides held discussions and exchanges on the green development with carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals and potential cooperation areas.

Yong Qiang thanked SUMEC for its warm reception and introduced the development of the wood industry of Nanjing Forestry University and the school-enterprise cooperation. He claimed that Nanjing Forestry University closely adheres to the national strategy of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, applies the findings of scientific research in practice, aids in the advancement of industries and disciplines, and fosters the high-quality development of forestry. He claimed that the university has had success in doing all of these things. He hoped that the university would further strengthen exchanges with SUMEC, carry out school-enterprise cooperation, promote the transformation of scientific research into productivity, and jointly implement the green mission.

Zhao Weilin welcomed Yong Qiang and introduced the company's business overview, development strategy and business characteristics in detail. He said that under the background of the national strategy of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, SUMEC adheres to the concept of high-quality sustainable development, adjusts its product structure, builds a high-quality brand, strives to transform from a practitioner of low-carbon emission reduction to a promoter of green development, and continuously enhances the competitiveness of enterprises. It is hoped that the two sides will give full play to their respective advantages, play the role of school-enterprise platform link, establish a regular communication mechanism, jointly promote the expansion and strengthening of relevant business sectors, and coordinate carbon neutrality with economic development.
