Successful First Trial!

Recently, the second low-temperature ethylene plant in the Lianyungang Rongtai Project built by China National Air Separation Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Perfect Machinery Industry Corp., Ltd. under the trusteeship of SUMEC Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as SUMEC), was successfully started up at one time, showing good performance and smooth operation, which marked a new accomplishment of China National Air Separation in the field of low-temperature storage tanks, construction of a green energy system, and contribution to the development of the petrochemical industry in Lianyungang.

The project is situated in Lianyungang Xuwei New District, one of China's seven major petrochemical industry bases. The plant's comprehensive energy consumption has reached an advanced standard in China. After it is put into service, the facility will offer long-term and consistent chemical transshipment services to the petrochemical park in Lianyungang Xuwei New District and its surrounding areas. The project consists of one 20,000m³ low-temperature ethylene storage tank, an ethylene BOG (boil-off gas) compression system, a re-liquefaction recycling system, tank internal submersible pumps, a booster pump external delivery system, as well as a reheating vaporization system. China National Air Separation is responsible for the entire EPC process, encompassing engineering, procurement, construction, trial run, start-up feeding, and coordination for completion acceptance.

Since the beginning of feeding for trial run, the project team from China National Air Separation has been on duty 24/7. They have meticulously checked on-site piping, flanges, valves, equipment instruments, and other components, and closely collaborated with manufacturers in rigorous testing of compressors and other critical equipments, propelling the project into a new phase of production and operation.
