Recently, the "Hongda · 22nd National Textile Printing and Dyeing Industry New Materials, New Technologies, New Processes, and New Product Technology Exchange Conference" hosted by the China Printing and Dyeing Industry Association was held in Shanghai. The "2024 China Excellent Printing and Dyeing Fabric Award List" was announced at the meeting. The two fabrics "Summer Night Starry Fabric" and "Bio-based Natural Sunscreen Fabric" independently developed by SUMEC Textile&Light Industry Co., Ltd, which belongs to SUMEC Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as SUMEC), won the first and second prizes for excellent fabrics respectively.

1. Summer Night Starry Fabric

This fabric cleverly combines the coloring characteristics of 20D graphene nylon yarn and 20D glossy polyester yarn, and adopts the parallel weft weaving process to form a unique summer night starry effect; it has antibacterial, far-infrared warming properties, and anti-down feather properties, and can be widely used in winter products such as cotton clothes and down jackets.

2. Bio-based Natural Sun Protection Fabric

This fabric uses environmentally friendly and sustainable bio-based N56 machine-wrapped bio-based spandex OMINA, which can reduce fossil fuel consumption and carbon emissions; the fabric sun protection index reaches UPF 80+, UVA <2%, and can be widely used in sun protection clothing, summer pants and other summer products.

For a long time, SUMEC Textile&Light Industry Co., Ltd has insisted on innovation-driven and green development, strengthened the connection between production, learning and research with universities and research institutes, and continuously strengthened fabric research and development and product innovation. So far, it has obtained 6 invention patents and 9 scientific and technological research and development projects that have reached the domestic leading level. The independently developed fabric "Ink Dance" won the bronze award for the comprehensive award of China's popular fabrics at the 50th (2024/25 autumn and winter) China International Fabric Design Competition in 2023. The bio-based N56 cool-feeling fabric and imitation wool fabric have been successfully applied to customers.
