(hereinafter referred to as SUMEC) successfully signed an import project with a customer for the dry-jet wet spinning and wet spinning equipment of polyacrylonitrile (PAN)-based carbon fiber precursor of an Italian carbon fiber equipment manufacturing brand. The introduction of this equipment will help the domestic high-performance carbon fiber production technology level to reach a new level.

The spinning equipment introduced by SUMEC-ITC for customers this time has two manufacturing processes: dry-jet wet spinning and wet spinning. The PAN-based carbon fiber produced has both good structural and functional characteristics. It is a primary type in carbon fiber development and application, and is widely used in aviation, pressure vessels, wind turbine blades, building reinforcement and other important industrial fields. Compared with wet spinning, the fiber surface produced by dry-jet wet spinning is smoother and the fiber density is higher, which has higher requirements for spinning solution, spinning process, equipment operation, etc. SUMEC-ITC introduced technical equipment with dry-jet wet spinning process, which can help customers upgrade their production level, quality and efficiency, and actively contribute to the promotion of domestic high-performance carbon fiber precursor production development and technical application.
