Recently, SUMEC-ITC successfully wrapped up its first self-operated methanol export deal totaling 5,000 metric tons. Shipped from Taicang Port to Indonesia, the methanol cargo will be delivered to a leading local multinational palm oil enterprise to cover its raw material demands for production and operation.

During project execution, SUMEC-ITC precisely matched demand from overseas end-users. Building on long-standing stable partnerships with China’s top chemical manufacturers, the company secured direct bulk procurement from suppliers. It coordinated core links across the full supply chain including vessel schedule arrangement, dock coordination as well as customs declaration and commodity inspection, guaranteeing smooth shipment and delivery. Through the self-operated model, the enterprise has realized end-to-end integration covering procurement, logistics and sales.
In recent years, adhering firmly to its Blue Ocean Strategy, SUMEC-ITC has upheld its corporate mission: to boost the resilience and security of industrial and supply chains via professional services, facilitate the global expansion of China’s production capacities, equipment and home-grown brands, and advance the inbound import of scarce national resources, energy and mineral products. The firm keeps deepening business transformation and upgrading to diversify its import and export portfolio. With respect to chemical trading, based on divergent supply-demand conditions between domestic and global markets, it prioritizes the layout of basic chemical feedstocks and fine chemicals to enrich its product portfolio. On the import front, it targets the introduction of scarce chemical raw materials critical for domestic industrial development to shore up weak links in local supply chains and fuel industrial upgrading. On the export front, it taps into rigid overseas market demand and exports high-quality chemical products with ample domestic output to support the global outreach of Chinese manufacturing.
At the new starting point of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, SUMEC will remain focused on its core supply chain operation business. The Group will accelerate international footprint expansion, refine its supply chain service system and develop additional overseas marketing channels. It will help more premium Chinese equipment, brands and products access global markets, strengthen core functions and competitiveness, and advance high-quality inbound investment and high-standard outbound development. SUMEC will strive to make greater contributions to proactively serving and integrating into the new development pattern of domestic and international dual circulation.
