In the first 10 months, the added value of China 's machinery industry increased by 5.5% year-on-year!

The 2024 Equipment Manufacturing Development Conference is being held in Chongqing. Reporters learned that in the first 10 months of this year, the added value of China's machinery industry increased by 5.5% year-on-year, the production and sales of products were generally stable, foreign trade accelerated, and the overall operation trend was stable and improving.

In terms of production and sales, among the 122 types of machinery products monitored by the China Machinery Industry Federation, 72 products have increased in output, accounting for 59%, which is better than the previous year's level overall; in terms of investment, fixed asset investment in general equipment, special equipment, and automobile industries in the national economy has achieved year-on-year growth; in terms of foreign trade, the export value of machinery industry goods trade in the first ten months was US$710.77 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%, accounting for 24.3% of the national goods trade export value.

Focus on technological innovation and cultivate future industries

It is reported that the China Machinery Industry Federation has determined the "15th Five-Year Plan" and emphasized three characteristics.

In the 15th Five-Year Plan, China's machinery industry continues to place scientific and technological innovation in a prominent position, strengthen basic research and original innovation, and break through key core technologies. At the same time, the plan also proposes to build a new development pattern, enhance the independent and controllable capabilities of the industrial chain, deepen global cooperation, and cultivate strategic emerging industries, so as to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the industry and promote high-quality development.

Xu Niansha, President of China Machinery Industry Federation: We have emphasized three characteristics. First, we continue to pay attention to scientific and technological innovation, including the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, as well as the development of strategic emerging industries and future industries. Second, we pay full attention to the development characteristics and demands of enterprises of various types and ownerships. Third, we pay full attention to the development of the city and county economies.

In addition, the machinery industry also plans to develop and expand future industries. In the next step, through the key layout in six major directions, such as future manufacturing, future information, and future materials, a number of major application and industrialization projects will be implemented, and a number of ecological leading enterprises will be cultivated to build a new development pattern of coordinated linkage between future industries and advantageous industries, emerging industries, and traditional industries.
