The "New Three Exports", consisting of robots, artificial intelligence and innovative pharmaceuticals, have become the new hallmark of China’s exports. According to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, China’s exports of industrial robots reached 6.29 billion yuan in the first half of 2026, a year-on-year increase of 18.6%, with products delivered to 141 countries and regions worldwide. In 2025, China’s export volume of industrial robots surpassed imports for the first time, making China a net exporter of industrial robots. The pace of the global expansion of China’s robotics industry keeps accelerating. Nevertheless, behind these remarkable results, domestic robots still face multiple barriers when venturing overseas. On one hand, market access standards vary widely across countries, with stringent and complicated product certification systems. On the other hand, cross-border data compliance requirements are tightening, pushing up hidden costs continuously. These hurdles stand in the way of domestic robots tapping into overseas markets. With over 20 years of expertise in equipment import and export, SUMEC-ITC maintains close partnerships with numerous robot manufacturers and has long safeguarded the export of domestically made robots.
In 2025, SUMEC-ITC supported Zhejiang Guozi Robotics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Guozi Robotics) in exporting Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). Equipped with special components such as precision sensors and lithium batteries, AGVs impose stricter requirements on procurement, customs clearance, shipment and other procedures.

To tackle these challenges, SUMEC-ITC leveraged its professional strengths in equipment export. It sorted out the regulatory standards of destination countries in advance, double-checked local requirements on robot data compliance, and assisted the client in preparing product certification documents. For special components including lithium batteries, the team devised sound logistics plans and compiled customs clearance documents to ensure safe and compliant cargo transportation. It coordinated the connection of procurement, customs clearance, shipment and other links, delivering a one-stop, customized and full-process comprehensive service solution. This project exported more than 110 robots of multiple types, including forklift AGVs, latent jacking AGVs and heavy-load AGVs, all of which were successfully delivered. SUMEC-ITC provided strong support for automated handling and intelligent stacking at the client’s overseas factory.
