100 MW! Successfully connected to the grid!

Spring has come, everything is blooming. On the evening of April 11, SPIC’s 100 MW photovoltaic-storage integrated power generation project in Xinyu undertaken by SUMEC Energy Holdings Co., Ltd. (SUMEC Energy), affiliated to SUMEC Group Corporation (SUMEC), was successfully connected to the grid.

The project is located in Fenyi County, Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province, with a total installed capacity of 100 MW and a supporting energy storage system of 15 MW/30 MWh. With an average annual power generation capacity of 110 million kWh and an annual reduction of carbon dioxide emissions of about 88,000 tons, the project is of great significance to local energy conservation, emission reduction and green development.

The project marks the first cooperation between SUMEC Energy and SPIC Jiangxi Electric Power Co., Ltd. During the construction, SUMEC Energy put forth their best effort and braved difficulties including rainy season, flood season and extreme convective weather in south China, strictly carrying out safety regulations, quality control and progress control, and efficiently completing all work. The construction of the Shuibei section only took 65 days, which demonstrated the all-conquering spirit of SUMEC Energy and gained written praise for SUMEC Energy from the project owner.
