Recently, SUMEC Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as SUMEC) has achieved significant milestones in its commitment to environmental protection. Its subsidiary, SUMEC Complete Equipment & Engineering Co. Ltd (hereinafter referred to as SUMEC-CEEC) has consecutively won bids for the EPC general contracting project for the expansion of the Liuxu Wastewater Treatment Plant in Yangzhou and the equipment procurement and installation project for the new Chengfa Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant in Lianyungang. These projects contribute to furthering the development of a Beautiful China.

Expansion of Liuxu Wastewater Treatment Plant in Yangzhou

The expansion project at the Liuxu Wastewater Treatment Plant in Yangzhou involves increasing the capacity by 200,000 m³/d and upgrading the treatment standards for another 200,000 m³/d. The wastewater treatment process includes coarse screening and influent pumping, fine screening and aeration grit removal, biological reaction, secondary sedimentation, intermediate lifting, high-efficiency sedimentation, deep bed filtration, and disinfection. Sludge treatment involves gravity thickening and centrifugal dewatering. The service area covers the Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hanjiang District, and the Yangzhou National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, etc. This project marks another collaboration between SUMEC and a long-term client, aiming to reduce the load on the existing wastewater treatment plant, ensure stable discharge standards, improve the water environment of Yangzhou’s inland rivers, and promote the sustainable development of the local watershed economy.

New Chengfa Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant in Lianyungang

Located in Haitou Town, Ganyu District, Lianyungang, this project serves enterprises within the Ganyu High-tech Industrial Development Zone, handling industrial wastewater. The ultimate capacity is planned to be 50,000 m³/d, with the current phase targeting 30,000 m³/d. SUMEC-CEEC is responsible for the supply, installation, commissioning, and operation of all equipment. This project adds another accomplishment to the company’s portfolio in the industrial wastewater sector. To date, SUMEC-CEEC has undertaken industrial wastewater projects in Changzhou, Lianyungang, Jiaxing, Yiwu, and other economically developed regions, with a total treatment capacity exceeding 200,000 m³/d. Their solutions have been successfully applied in various industries, including petrochemicals, papermaking, new energy, oil and gas fields, and power plants.
